  1. MCBase license agreement.
  2.  
  3. MCBASE IS NOT FREE SOFTWARE.
  4. The commercial, registered version of MCBASE may not be dupli-
  5. cated other than for backup purposes. A registered copy of
  6. MCBASE must be treated like a book, in that the same registe-
  7. red copy of MCBASE may not be used in more than one computer
  8. at the same time, just as a book cannot be read by more than
  9. one person at the same time.

  11. By registering your copy of MCBASE you do NOT become the owner
  12. of this software package, but you are granted the fully sup-
  13. ported use of the MCBASE database system. The MCBASE software
  14. package will remain the total property of the author, Harry
  15. Doldersum, under all circumstances.
  16. Therefor, a user will never have the right to (re)distribute
  17. the registered version of MCBASE.
  18.  
  19. Users are granted a limited license to use the SHAREWARE
  20. version of MCBASE for a limited evaluation period of 30 days
  21. maximum, in order to determine if the produkt meets their
  22. needs. Any other use of MCBASE or use past this period requi-
  23. res registration.
  24.  
  25. Alle users are granted a limited license (and are encouraged)
  26. to copy the shareware version (NOT the registered version) of
  27. MCBASE only for the purpose of allowing others to try it,
  28. subject to the above restrictions as well as these:
  29.  
  30.      MCBASE must be distributed in absolutely unmodified form,
  31.      including all program, documentation and other files as
  32.      found in the original MCBxxx.ARJ (xxx = version number)
  33.      archive file. If you MUST repack the ARJ-archive then
  34.      please make sure you include all files as found in the
  35.      original archive.

  37.      MCBASE may not be included with any other produkt for any
  38.      reason whatsoever without a written license from the
  39.      author: Harry Doldersum.
  40.  
  41.      No payment may be charged for MCBASE, other than a fee to
  42.      cover copying expences.
  43.  
  44. Bulletin Board system operators may post the unregistered User
  45. supported trial (SHAREWARE) version of MCBASE on their BBS for
  46. downloading by their users WITHOUT written permission of the
  47. author (= Harry Doldersum) ONLY if the above mentioned condi-
  48. tions are met, and only if no special fee is necessary to
  49. access the MCBASE archive file.
  50.  
  51. Distributors of User Supported Trial software (SHAREWARE) and
  52. Public Domain software, MUST obtain written permission from
  53. the author (= Harry Doldersum) before distributing MCBASE and
  54. must follow the above mentioned conditions (Exclusions: see
  55. "Important notes" below). Permission is almost always granted;
  56. this requirement is necessary to ensure protection for myself
  57. (Harry Doldersum) and MCBASE users from unscrupulous individu-
  58. als.

  60. IMPORTANT NOTES:

  62. -1)  You may not advertize MCBase as free software, but as
  63.      SHAREWARE only! Please explain the shareware concept to
  64.      prospective buyers.
  65. -2)  Distributors, who are an ASP member (or those who follow
  66.      the ASP's guidelines), do NOT need my written permission
  67.      for distribution. 
  68. -3)  ALL distributors or BBS-systems must seize distributing
  69.      MCBase within one month of written request by the author.
